250 t/D Multi-Effect Evaporator — Cane Syrup Evaporation with Pillow Plate Technology
Engineered for sugar mills and cane syrup producers, Hanpu’s pillow plate (dimple plate) multi-effect evaporator concentrates raw cane juice/syrup with high thermal efficiency, gentle product handling, and sanitary design. The 250 t/D line (≈10.4 t/h) delivers consistent °Brix targets, low color formation, and reduced steam consumption.
High Steam Economy
Five-effect arrangement with optional TVR achieves typical economy of 3.5–5.0 kg water/kg live steam, cutting boiler load and operating cost.
Product Quality First
Short residence time, uniform falling film, and precise ΔT control limit sucrose inversion and color pickup—ideal for refined sugar and syrup grades.
Low Fouling & Easy Cleaning
Pillow plate turbulence suppresses scaling; automated CIP with alkaline/acid recipes restores heat-transfer quickly.
Compact Footprint
Plate-based exchangers reduce weight and space versus large shell-and-tube bundles, easing installation in existing mill buildings.
Process Overview
- Preheating: Raw or clarified juice preheated by condensate/flash vapors to minimize live steam demand.
- Multi-effect falling film: Even distribution over pillow plates; successive effects run at lower pressure/temperature under vacuum.
- Vapor–liquid separation: High-efficiency demisters minimize entrainment; clean condensate is recovered for process reuse.
- Vacuum & NCG control: Surface condenser with vacuum pump handles non-condensables, stabilizing boiling points and ΔT.
- Automation: PLC/HMI with °Brix/density loops, recipe set-points for campaign changes, and historian for quality tracking.
- CIP: Automated caustic/acid/hot water cycles; inline rinse between batches to maintain capacity.
